How long have you been involved with Grassroots?
I’ve been a Grassroots Coach for a year and a half now. I also participated in the 2012 International AIDS Conference with Grassroots. Some of the events we participated in were the AIDS Walk, YouthScore, and The Global Village, where we demonstrated Grassroot games to the visitors.
Why did you choose to join Grassroots?
I chose to do Grassroots to help stop the AIDS epidemic in Washington DC. In order to do this you have to get to the young people before it becomes a bigger problem. I liked what Grassroots was doing so I lent a helping hand. After all, knowing is half the battle.
How has Grassroots prepared you for your future goals?
Grassroots has helped me with the coaching aspect of my life that I plan on doing after college.
What do you want to do after college?
After college I plan on being a high school teacher and also a coach.
