Shane Hebel is a Lecturer on Law and Faculty Lead for the 1L Negotiation Program at Harvard Law School and leads External Relations and Government Affairs at OraSure Technologies, where he works to expand access to HIV, hepatitis C, and substance-use diagnostics for marginalized communities.

Shane serves on the Board of Grassroots Health DC because he believes deeply in early, school-based health education. He is especially passionate about empowering middle-school students with the knowledge and confidence to navigate their health, reduce stigma, and advocate for themselves.

Previously, Shane helped build an HIV diagnostics startup (acquired by OraSure), worked in healthcare consulting at McKinsey & Company, and served with the UNAIDS Human Rights and Law team. He has also led and taught negotiation programs for Harvard, INSEAD, and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Shane holds a JD from Harvard Law School, an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, and a BBA from York University.
