Jaala James

Digital Communication Fellow

Jaala James is a Grassroots Health Digital Communication Fellow who is passionate about creating impactful content to help raise awareness of important health issues. She runs social media accounts, reaches out to media outlets, and creates content for all digital marketing necessities. She also helps coordinate talent, develop campaigns, and create materials for community outreach initiatives. Her experience in the field has allowed her to gain an understanding of how to effectively communicate messages in order to reach the widest possible audience. Jaala’s work has been instrumental in helping spread awareness about important health topics and helping communities make informed decisions regarding their health and wellness.

Jaala is a senior at Howard University and is majoring in Business Marketing. She has also been a volunteer health educator with Grassroots Health, and she is a member of the Howard University Varsity Women’s Lacrosse Team.

Jaala is an up-and-coming social media influencer who got her start on TikTok. She’s passionate about fashion and loves nothing more than taking her fur baby to the park for some playtime. She’s a rising star in the world of influencers, but one thing she hasn’t done yet is bring her pup to the office! We can only imagine how much cuteness that would add to Jaala’s workspace!
