Camryn Curtis
Howard, Retired Track and Field

Camryn Curtis (she, her, hers) is a student at the illustrious Howard University studying health sciences, with a minor in chemistry (class of 2025). Camryn serves as the Community Affairs chair of Howard’s community garden and she is an ambassador for Mecca Yoga. Upon coming to DC all the way from Douglasville, GA, she cheerfully joined Grassroots Health, looking to make friends and get involved in the community. Immersing herself in the organization’s mission, her dedication earned her recognition as one of Grassroots’ top athlete volunteers in 2022. She is grateful to have formed so many incredible relationships through GRH. As a training fellow, she has blossomed into a fearless and adaptable facilitator. Her work with Grassroots inspired her to select a future career in health policy, where she hopes to drive positive change and create a healthier, more equitable world.

Once upon a time, a rose bloomed, and out came the one and only Rosebud. Rosebud is a fierce southern belle who has taken Grassroots Health by storm. When she’s not busy beating the other fellows in a good ol’ game of “Head Catch”, she spends her time gardening, thrifting, watching psychological thrillers, and hyper-fixating on new hobbies (currently learning how to make bouquets). She often goes on excessively long walks around DC, which has made her quite the local guide. Hit her up if you need recommendations for food/activities/nightlife, trust she will not steer you wrong.
