She grew up in the Bronx, New York, and her favorite hobby is singing.

Fun fact: She plays 4 instruments: piano, violin, viola, and voice.

Never thought I’d have to share my secret with everyone so soon, but my boss told me that the day has come.
I have indeed been living a double life.
Back home in the Big Apple, everyone knows me as Asia…or whatever country they could remember exists in Asia. I was young back then, a jack of all trades.
If you needed a musician, I was ready to play all four.
If you needed a soccer player…I was always prepared to be a brick wall.
If you needed a repair woman/interior designer, I was your girl to help be creative and advise.
After roughly 17 years in my role as Asia, the stress and pressure finally took a toll on me, and I realized it was time for something new.

While college was a conventional step in the norms of society, it was also the perfect time to transition to my new identity as “Jazzie”. From all my years of watching Miley Cyrus become Hannah Montana, I knew this was my moment to make “Jazzie” the spicier and cooler version of her. Jazzie started out as shy and chill, but also extremely excited to pursue her career as a psychologist. In my journey to make Jazzie cool, there were indeed some roadblocks due to her stubborn nature. She couldn’t let go of some of the personality traits of “Asia” such as playing soccer and singing in choirs, but slowly and surely she has worked on formulating her own ego. This is my 6th year of “Jazzie” being my Grassroots Health nickname, and I’m really starting to like it here, so please don’t go around mentioning anything about a continent or a country. Of course, I can’t stop you if you do choose to but if not for me, do it for Grassroots Health. We all live a double life here 🙂
