Andrés Franquez is a football player at Georgetown University, studying Computer Science (Class of 2026). Born and raised in Newnan, Georgia, Andrés first became involved with Grassroots Health during his sophomore year when he volunteered at a Grassroots Connect event and received training in the Nutrition curriculum. Andrés is eager to further support Grassroots Health’s mission to change the “culture of health” in schools, ensuring that students not only become healthier and happier but also perform better academically.With his background in athletics and his commitment to community service, Andrés brings a unique perspective to Grassroots Health. He looks forward to continuing his work with GRH.

Andrés, also known as Franki, brings Southern charm and grit to everything he does. When he isn’t on the field, you will find him coding, playing Call of Duty, or out on his late night monument walks. A true Marvel enthusiast, Franki’s favorite superhero is Spiderman. Although Franki is naturally quiet, his calm demeanor and genuine nature draw people in, creating a strong sense of camaraderie with his teammates and friends. He has been looking for new food spots to try so please lend a helping hand when you see him (he’s tired of Chipotle).
